Kill Switch Worked in Our TestsĪtlas VPN’s kill switch feature disconnects your device from the internet if your VPN connection drops for any reason. Ideally, we’d like to see Atlas VPN drop support for IKEv2 entirely and replace it with OpenVPN. In contrast to IKEv2, WireGuard is safer, it’s faster, and it uses far less data. We strongly recommend manually changing the protocol to WireGuard. All of its apps automatically default to IKEv2. We’re pleased Atlas VPN has chosen to improve the transparency of its ownership.
